Artist Statement

My Work is grounded in what I call the aesthetics of spontaneity.  Each brushstroke, each variation of tone, each texture has value and contributes to the overall composition.  By remaining in the moment, spontaneous, and without concept, I create work which is a balance of the subject (motif), the medium and my own thought and feeling (personality).

This balance is what I strive for and value in ART. -William DeRaymond

I studied with Antonio Salemme 1892-1995
